I speak as a whole – Service, products, prices, etc. .
Which would you recommend to your friends?

Reply: If anyone is in the metro Detroit area we have a local credit union with several branches that ROCKS.
Name of the place is Credit Union One.
They pull ONLY TransUnion for all credit transactions… with the exeption of there credit card.. that is actually based on a different bank.
TransUnion was my first clean credit report. I was able to refinance my auto from 22% to 5.9%.
Rich:
Interesting about them pulling TU. Another CU based near you, Meadows, also pulls TU. They are the only CU's on this board which pull TU, and both are located in Chicago and Detroit. One of those regional differences from way back I guess.

Reply: Penfed.
They're saving me $60/month when I refi'd my auto loan.

Reply:Penfed Large lines, low rates frequent specials.

Reply:Patelco has been very good to me. I have the 5k visa gold card, 2 auto loans at 4.1% apr, checking and savings account. No complaints from me.

Reply:Penfed for mortgages (almost no closing cost on first mortgages and best rates)
Patelco for consumer loans and auto.
I like both, but for different reasons.

Reply:PENFED is all I have and that is ONE TOO MANY
I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA "IF" IT IS THE BEST
THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR PROOF OF INCOME or TAXES or UTILITY BILLS!!!

Reply:I tend to stay away from the mega-CU's for the same reason I shy away from national mega-banks. Small facility is my preferred mode of lender. They are more likely to know me, to give me the benefit of the doubt and to do business on a fax signature.
The last update to NCUA reflected approximately 200 members. I was also fairly close to having been one of the charter members and at one time had about 5% of total deposits.
They aren't full service because it isn't cost effective at the current time, but I also don't quibble at the loans not reporting…nothing quite like good yet hidden five-figure notes.

Reply:I only know Think FCU, but I think they're fantastic!

Reply:I haven't seen anyone lower than Navy for auto loans and credit cards. Customer service is great IMO. I think their rates on LOC and personal loans leave alot to be desired.

Reply:Patelco
DFCU
Navy Fed
Meadows
Have Navy Fed and Patelco. Navy Fed has struck me as sloppy, and Patelco as more professional and better policies. This is purely my opinion based on limted personal experience.
I like Penfed.

Which of self-knowledge SIVA loans. Need 880K loan (with 30% down). Who makes these loans in this market? Need help fast.

Best Answer: The down-payment requirement maybe 20% or more. Just this week I received alert messages from lenders that the Jumbo programs will be suspended until further notice.

If you have a broker or banker you trust check with them to see if their particular institutions are still lending on Jumbo programs at this time.

Reply:In Illinois. Assets after downpayment approximately $250K.
Any suggestions for who remaining lenders are as well as suggestions for trusted private money sources?

Reply: Anyone know of any Self-employed, SIVA Loans. Need 880K loan (with 30% down). Who is doing these loans in this marketplace? Need help fast.
There are one or 2 lenders who will do the deal……..get a hold of a good broker…….How much in assets will you have after the down payment?

Reply:What state?
There aren't many left especially above 750k without 700+ scores
You may have to consider a private money source (Hard Money)
Happy Holidays
Brian
