Your account information is accurate and up-to-date again after 24 October. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Oh apologize, I have to wait until BofA to pay credit card bill until next week. They even transfer option between the depot (s) and credit card (s) 0.
Ron.

Reply:I was unable to pay BofA CC in the middle of night and now it is working.
Ron.

Reply:I just logged in to BoA and saw this message too.
You can still make a payment, just balances/transactions will not appear until the 24th. If timing is crucial, you could always pay at a BoA branch.

Reply:I noticed this last night too- but I had set an automatic payment for the 31st so I will have plenty of time to check to make sure its still there after the update….

Reply:Just paid my Merrill+ card on MBNA. No access to bofa accounts…

Reply:I just people $200 on my BOA..I was going to pay this today, I hope I don't have a problem. I don't
remember when their statement comes out

Reply:I was able to pay MBNA Platinum Plus MC online but they changed the neme of the account to Bank Of America Platinum Plus MC.
Ron.

Reply:I remember back when i had the Aspire Visa, it would not allow you to make more than 2 payments per billing period.
At least not online anyway.

Reply: I'd be willing to bet you don't let all your cards report balances every month. Not at 816.
I have 5 cards and generally let 3 report a balance. I always PIF.

Reply: Right now I pay off my entire credit card balance when it becomes due. This allows me to earn interest on my cash for the maximum amount of time possible
Since 30% of my FICO score is based on my credit utilization i.e. the ratio of current revolving debt to the total available revolving credit, if I paid my credit card balance off every day such that at the end of month my balance would be much lower than my normal balance, would this help improve my credit score?
Thanks in advance.
PLAYING GAMES WITH F.I.C.O.

Sometimes they fight back
Just PIF on the due date or a few days before

Reply: I pay all of my cards once a month after their statements are cut. My FICO has remained strong. I generally keep to under 5% overall utilization.
I'd be willing to bet you don't let all your cards report balances every month. Not at 816.
OR she has enough available credit to cushion.
If I let all of my balances report after the statement, I'll be at approximately 5%.
I hear that but if you have 5 CC's and let all 5 report that ain't good.

Reply:interesting thread. I routinely make 2-3 payments to pay off my 2% hsbc account with a tiny 500 limit because they didnt give me a bigger credit line. but i have monthly bills charged on there so need to keep the credit line open. So if they would ever say i'm using it as a 'debit card' id just have to tell them then increase my credit line!

Reply: You are right. Some do. I remember with Providian or someone YEARS ago, I would pay it off almost immediately and they got mad and said, "This isn't a debit card. You can't keep doing this." lol
Haven't some issuers gotten suspicious of many/multiple payments? Chase comes to mind. I thought I had read that. Maybe I am making stuff up.
Thanks, nice to know I am not off my rocker.

Reply:No reason or point to pay everyday.
Just learn when your card reports and adjust payment if you want to lower utilization.
Most report the statement balance each month like Shaft wrote. However, some don't and can report mid-month. You can learn this from pulling your reports through a monitoring service.

Reply:Many lenders report your balance after the statement cuts. In other words, the best way to lower your utilization via credit scoring is to pay the balance a day or two before the statement cuts/ end of statement and you card will report with "0" balance on your CR.
